Die & Mold

Precision in every detail, perfection in every part

Engineering the tools that shape the future

At Vahan Design and Engineering, we specialize in the complete lifecycle of high-performance dies and molds. Our process begins with a comprehensive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analysis, where our engineers use licensed SolidWorks to optimize part geometry, cooling channels, and ejection systems. By identifying potential molding issues at the design stage, we save our clients significant time and cost during the production phase. Our facility in Hosur is equipped to handle the complexities of both Plastic Injection Molds and Pressure Die Casting (PDC) Dies. We work with a wide range of premium tool steels—including H13, P20, and S136—selecting the ideal material based on your required mold life and surface finish requirements.

Our Die & Mold Expertise

Building durability into every die and mold

Precision Design & DFM

Utilizing Licensed SolidWorks, we perform detailed Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analysis to optimize gate locations, cooling lines, and ejection, ensuring a flawless production cycle

Plastic Injection Molds

We engineer high-quality injection molds for automotive and industrial plastics, supporting everything from single-cavity prototypes to complex multi-cavity hot runner systems

Pressure Die Casting (PDC)

Our robust PDC dies are designed for high-pressure aluminum and zinc casting, built to withstand extreme thermal stress while maintaining dimensional accuracy over long production runs

Advanced Tool Steels

We work with premium grades like H13, P20, and S136. Every material is selected based on your production volume and the required surface finish—from matte textures to mirror polishes

In-House CNC Machining

Using high-speed CNC VMC machines, we achieve micron-level precision on complex core and cavity profiles, ensuring perfect fitment and minimal parting line flashes.

Validation & Trials

We provide end-to-end support including T0/T1 trials and mold fine-tuning. We also offer refurbishment and modification services to extend the life of your existing tooling.

Clarity in engineering leads to confidence in production

What is the typical lead time for mold development?
Lead times generally range from 4 to 10 weeks depending on complexity. Prototype molds are delivered faster, while multi-cavity production tools require more time
Which types of mold steels do you work with?
We use premium grades like P20, H13, and S136. Steel selection is based on your production volume and resin requirements
Do you provide a DFM report before manufacturing?
Yes, we provide a detailed Design for Manufacturing (DFM) report. This optimizes gate locations, cooling, and draft angles to prevent defects
Can you handle mold trials and part validation?
Absolutely. we conduct T0 and T1 trials in-house. We only ship the tool once samples meet your specified dimensions.
Do you offer mold maintenance and repair services?
Yes, we provide refurbishment and emergency repair services. We help extend the life of your existing tools through preventative maintenance
Is your design software licensed and industry-standard?
We use licensed SolidWorks for all our engineering work. This ensures data security, compatibility, and high-precision 3D modeling for every project
